Jushua Rothery - Cycling research

After Speaking to alec about my idea to cycle around the uk and create a project out of it he pointed me in the direction of some inspiration. One being Jushua Rothery a photographer who cycled from the UK to cape town photographing everything orange along his way. Alec suggested that I get in contact with him and ask a few questions so this will be first on my list to do in may. 

Alex Ellis- Rosewell 

Alex is a guy that a friend told me about, Alec decided to walk about the entire coast of the UK to raise money for the lifeboat society. I love this idea and I love how he just set off with no real plan this sound very much how I like to do things. Its made me think about maybe I could use this as a way to raise money for a charity? 

Swim DEm - Peigh Asante - Inspiration

From reading an interview with Peigh Asante I found some super inspiring work he created called swim dem and swimming community which takes an open approach to mental health. This was eventually created into a short film which I thought was beautifully made, this introduced me to a new studio https://www.rubyandboya.com/ which create video content. The interview also lead me to the Kennedys something I haven't really researched much into, these advanced learning schools are something I am super interested in applying for when next possible. I was mainly inspired by Swim dem as a platform maybe I could do something similar to this with cycling? 

I would really like to join this club and learn some open water swimming after university 

Applying for volunteer work at Offf Barcelona

Applied for a design festival in Barcelona but also for D&AD and another in the Netherlands.

After speaking to Alec he gave me some really positive feedback that suggested honing in on a specific element of the trip and that I need to document it extremely well. As a project, it will serve me really well when applying for jobs as it begins to stick out.

• I currently have this idea of cycling to scotland with just my tent and think it could maybe turned into a personal project somehow. it would be super beneficial for me to spend a day in different studios, so something along the lines of this. This was a brief I got set whilst at Sunday agency, I enjoyed this a lot it was a really quick turn around. From research to the idea within a few ideas, I felt the concepts were strong but I would have appreciated some critical feedback on them.

Shadowing Art director on production shoot

Shadowing Christy the art director of Sunday I went along to a shoot with him.  This was an interesting day to see the dynamic between the team was super insightful. There were 3 photographers, 1 stylist and 1 art director. The shoot itself did not much for me in terms of inspiration.
