Today I received my monthly magazine from stack. It was people of prints - print isn't dead mag. After reading through a couple things stood out to me which got me thinking and in turn has had an impact on my work. To begin the large amount of letter pressing throughout got me thinking about experimenting with this method for my secret 7 vinyl cover. So far i have not used letter press and think this would be an ideal time to give it a good. An interview with Mr Smith on pages 12-13 is what really got me inspired to give it a go. Second was an interview with Alan kitching page 9 where they spoke about his influences one was poetry, this is something I have never thought to look for influence within. I love music yet have never really indulged in poetry so for my secret 7 brief I will be reading some poetry I feel relates to my song and finding influences through it.
