Getting to grips with the print room (letter press)

So today I used the letter press to create a piece for my secret 7 project. I really found getting in the print room has enchanced my skills by simply giving me more confidence within the print room. Befor I stayed away from the print room as it all seemed abit daunting as u know very little about the processes apart from the inductions however what I found was the staff to be unbelievable help full something I did not expect as I just thought they would be to busy. The process of letter press is also very rewarding compared to working digitally. I really like the effect from manually printing, a not so great print is all part of the aesthetics for me. Getting in the print room has driven me to really expand my practice by using this room more regularly in conjunction with my up and coming briefs such as 'show me the money' I will be testing out screen printing next.
